The Resilience of Rosita and Paty

Rosita and Paty arrived in our care as young as any child could be, just 6 and 8 years old. They were rescued from one of the many communities in Mexico where the heartbreaking practice of families selling their daughters still persists. When authorities intervened, they claimed only Paty, the elder sister, had been exploited, sold daily to neighbors.
But the truth was far more devastating. Rosita, the younger child, couldn't even speak fluently, her trauma silencing her young voice. When we took her to the doctor because of a small wart on her face, the diagnosis was shattering: a sexually transmitted disease that could develop into cancer. She was only six years old. The silence around her exploitation did not erase the profound violation she had endured.
Despite the horrors they faced, the bond between Rosita and Paty has been a source of strength. Today, Rosita is diligently finishing her studies. She continues to receive the medical care she needs, and her spirit shines with the hope of a future where she can live independently. Paty, fiercely protective of her younger sister, is also working towards her own dreams.
Both sisters have shown incredible resilience, but their journey is not yet over. They continue to need our support to heal, to learn, and to build the stable and independent futures they so deserve.
Your donation can make a life-changing difference for Rosita and Paty, and for other children like them. By contributing today, you can help us continue providing Rosita with the medical care she needs and support both sisters as they work towards independence.
Please give generously and help us empower these young survivors to build the bright futures they bravely envision.
